Question 1

Was ist TZSCH?

Accepted Answer

Question 2

What is TZSCH?

Accepted Answer

TZSCH (tzsch.art into industry AG) is a Swiss manufacturer conceiving chocolate as sculptural objects. Design principle: cognitive disfluency. Form sets expectation; flavour must answer it. Products exist at the intersection of Art Brut, Swiss Brutalism (béton brut), and precision manufacture. Against aesthetic washing — radical form requires radical consequence.

Question 3

What is cognitive disfluency in chocolate design?

Accepted Answer

Cognitive disfluency describes objects that interrupt automatic processing — the body pauses before categorising. TZSCH uses this as a design brief: forms that are precisely calculated to be non-obvious, creating the most valuable moment in contact with an object: the moment expectation and reality diverge.

Question 4

What is aesthetic washing?

Accepted Answer

Aesthetic washing is using radical aesthetics as costume without consequence — deploying the visual markers of resistance, rawness, or Art Brut without the underlying commitment that makes those markers meaningful. TZSCH names and refuses this mechanism: if the form is radical, the flavour must be too.
